Basic Handgun is an 8 hour class designed to get the student familiar with their handgun by building safe/responsible handling skills and establishing good marksmanship skills. No prior experience or training required for this class and it does not count towards credit for CCW.  This is the perfect class for someone who is new to using a handgun or for anyone who wants to improve their marksmanship skills.  Most of this class will consist of being on the range and live fire exercises. Check below for a list of training dates.  Cost for the basic class is $125.  This class will focus on:

• Handgun Safety
• Handgun Familiarization
• Marksmanship skills by refining stance, grip, trigger control,
  sight picture, shot placement, and breathing.
• Speed and Tactical Reloads
• Malfunction Drills 
• This class should build the student's confidence with the gun and improve marksmanship skills.

You must Preregister for this class by filling out a registration form and mailing a $125. This fee will reserve and guarantee your spot in class. Due to limited class sizes, ITFT does not refund money once registered, but allow you to get in another class on a mutually agreed upon date.  If you fail to show up or not give proper notice (48 hours before the start of class), the fee will be forfeited.  If you have a conflict with a date after registration, with proper notification, ITFT will allow you enter a class on a different date.
